Advancing Jetty Integration and Development of Pluggable Architectures
Manhattan Beach, Calif. – July 18, 2007 – www.webtide.com Webtide LLC, the lead developers of the Jetty web server, today announced that it is joining the Eclipse Foundation, an open source community committed to the implementation of a universal development platform, as an Add-in member.
"The widespread, coordinated release of Eclipse Europa is a great achievement and will be fantastic for users. Webtide are excited to participate and look forward to bringing greater productivity to developers through the platform," said Adam Lieber, CEO of Webtide LLC.

Webtide will work initially to improve the productivity of project development, testing and deployment to Jetty instances. Beyond that, Webtide will work to foster the integration of implementations of pluggable architectures such as OSGi with Jetty through the Eclipse platform. “Webtide support projects from individual development teams to multi-million user deployments, and Eclipse has many outstanding capabilities for all,” said Lieber.
“The Eclipse Foundation welcomes Webtide's contributions and future efforts, and we are delighted that the ecosystem of Eclipse members continues to strengthen,” said Mike Milinkovich, Eclipse Foundation Executive Director.
